Introduction to Sustainable Finance
About the Role
As a member of GMC support the credit underwriting of transactions originated by the Global Sustainable Finance Group. Transaction types include project finance, revolving debt facilities and interest rate/FX hedging for non recourse transactions. Asset types include Wind, Hydro, Solar, Fuel Cell, EV's, Geothermal etc.
Review transaction structures, stress scenarios, financial models, terms and conditions
Prepare Credit Approval and Underwriting Memorandums and scorecards for approval including new transactions, modifications and renewals
Provide input into internal governance forums, the drafting of policies and procedures, audits and regulatory meetings
Assist in development of white papers for new sectors/technologies/business models and products
Coordinate periodic and/or adhoc reporting such as quarterly portfolio reviews
Provide GMC input into key projects/initiatives
Requirements
Master degree in Finance, Business Administration or related fields. CFA/FRM or other professional qualification will be highly preferred
3+ years of experience in financial services. Relevant prior experience may include roles in: credit risk management, structuring, trading, asset management, origination, rating agencies involving energy or power. A deep understanding as well as exposure to project finance will be added advantage
Passion for renewable mission, motivation and desire to research and understand new technologies and business structures
Strong knowledge or capacity to learn the bank's credit processes and systems
Ability to establish partnerships across the organization with GSFG, Enterprise Credit Risk and other support partners
Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
Proficiency with Bloomberg, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
