About the Role

Key responsibilities

Develop and manage FS priority accounts and sector ESG strategic growth plans
Coordinate FS priority accounts’ activities across Hong Kong, mainland China and APAC
Facilitate the definition of the go to market strategy focused around priority clients
Maintain pipeline data and tracking of ESG opportunities and revenue numbers
Help define key focus / sector trends / fields of play that can help drive replication of our ESG offerings and solutions across various clients
Support with development of internal KPMG ESG community to encourage communication and coordinated targeting of existing and new clients
Coordinate internal sector meetings to discuss and track key ESG opportunities and go-to-market initiatives
Support with proposal development in response to Request for Proposals
Learn and understand the FS client/target base. Maintain an awareness of current ESG issues to ensure that relevant time sensitive solutions and ideas are communicated to clients and work with relevant colleagues to develop a proposition to take to the client
Identify and gather information on new client ESG issues through organising and hosting client meetings
Facilitate expansion of points of contact between KPMG and the client
Create, maintain and drive the execution of the relationship map and plan to develop many contacts and deepen relationships progressively over time
Coordinate client relationship events and ensure return on investment is measured through deepened relationships, increased opportunity for KPMG to work with the clients and won revenues
Support with the development and promotion of any thought leadership as required


  • At least 3 years of experience in client relationship management and account management

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work with different team meetings, supporting regional sectors and account strategies

  • Excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude

  • A proactive communicator with excellent verbal and written English communication skills (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred but not mandatory)

  • Possess or be able to build a working knowledge of capability groups and service lines across KPMG and an understanding of our services and relevant content across the firm, to create a fully multi-disciplinary go to market approach

  • Curiosity and listening skills with ability to see the bigger picture

  • Be well organised, detail-conscious, pro-active, hard-working, and resilient

  • Be flexible in your approach and able to work under pressure

  • Be confident interacting at the most senior levels internally and externally, while at the same time able to interact well with peers and other more junior members of the team

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills and being able to anticipate needs of the account team / client

  • Resilient and a team player, with a strong work ethic

  • Logical thinking and consultative orientation

  • Demonstratable affinity with the FS sector
